Can you moderate multi-lingual and international EU events?
Yes. We regularly moderate international and multi-lingual events in English and work closely with interpretation teams. Our moderation style is adapted to diverse cultural and professional backgrounds common in European and international settings.
Are you based in Brussels?
Yes. Moderating.eu operates from Brussels and is fully embedded in the European policy and event ecosystem. This allows us to work efficiently with EU institutions, Brussels-based organisations, and international partners. We have moderators in Brussels and in many member states, available in many languages.
Why hire a moderator specialised in the EU bubble?
The Brussels EU bubble has its own dynamics: multi-level governance, political sensitivities, cultural diversity, and strict time constraints. A moderator specialised in EU affairs understands institutional roles, policy language, and stakeholder interests, and can manage discussions neutrally while keeping outcomes clear and actionable. At the same time, we see it as our mission to make all events accessible also for outsiders. Yes. We frequently support clients not only during the event, but also in the design phase. This includes shaping the programme, refining session formats, preparing speakers, and aligning the event with strategic objectives and policy context. We add most of our value if you are involved early and we like it the most if we cannot only help you with execution but also with strategy.
What types of EU events do you moderate?
Everything, from small boardroom meetings to big events and from flashy galas and award ceremonies to in-depth policy discussions. We love to cross the boundaries between them, adjusting to the occasion. This includes EU policy conferences and summits, panel discussions and fireside chats, stakeholder consultations and dialogues, workshops and interactive breakout sessions, hybrid and online EU events, and strategy days and internal EU meetings.
How far in advance should we book a moderator in Brussels?
Early. For high-level EU conferences, booking several weeks to a few months in advance is recommended. We add most of our value in the preparatory phase. The earlier you involve us, the more value we deliver and the more impact your event has.
